Designer CAD/CAM

What is expected from you?

• Share responsibility for an efficient organization of both the drawing office and the PROTOCEL.
• Lead the entire trajectory of new prototypes.
• Design, develop, and plan the necessary welding jigs for both robotic welding and manual welding.
• Ensure all necessary CAD data is available to correctly direct CAD/CAM operators, production employees, and the sales team.
• Act as a back-up for colleagues and report to the Head Designer CAD/CAM.
• Fully develop new items from concept to execution and keep them up-to-date.
• Draw up complex assemblies and guide other CAD/CAM employees.
• Create detailed 2D or 3D drawings for parts and constructions for use in welding and production departments.
• Determine prices, design, plan, and monitor welding jigs.
• Initiate, support, develop, and monitor new prototypes to support various business units.
• Program sheet metal lasers, tube lasers, and press brakes.
• Support new ideas to facilitate production processes.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and procedures in all design and production phases.
• Maintain the “digital drawing management”.
• Be actively involved in the optimization of procedures and working methods.
• Participate in internal and external meetings related to specific projects.
• Supervise temporary project employees.

This is the perfect job for you...

• You have experience with CAD software, such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, TopSolid or similar.
• You have knowledge of CAM programming and CNC machines.
• Interested in technical matters or have an affinity with metal.
• Eye for detail and accuracy in performing tasks.
• Knowing how important it is to closely follow procedures and structures.
• A good knowledge of the English language.
