Gas Technician, permanent position

We are looking for a gas technician for our client in Kouvola for a permanent and long-term employment relationship. The position offers the opportunity to work with the maintenance, fault diagnosis, and preventive maintenance of biogas plants and gas refueling stations as part of a professional team.

As a gas technician, you will primarily work at our customers' biogas and gas refueling station sites in the southern region of Finland. Your workday begins either at the Kouvola office or directly at the work site, where you assess the situation of the sites through systems and plan the day's tasks. The work includes troubleshooting, repair work, maintenance, and preventive maintenance. The work is strongly hands-on field work, where overalls are put on and repair measures are carried out on-site at the customer's location.

In addition to the performing work, you will participate in customer meetings, present information regarding the status of the sites, and participate in the preparation of solution proposals. You will also cooperate with international equipment suppliers, which is why English language skills are required for the position.

The position is at the professional level, where you will get to work independently and take responsibility for your own sites. The work includes on-call duties, so your place of residence should be located approximately an hour away from Kouvola. The working hours are 37.5 h/week according to the professional employee agreement. The work features flexible working hours. The work includes occasional travel. Possible business trips are usually a maximum of one week long and typically occur about once or twice every few months.

You are a good fit for this job if you have:

• Previous experience in the gas industry
• Education in the electrical and automation field or other equivalent technical educational background
• Experience in maintenance, service, or troubleshooting tasks
• Good English language skills
• Ability to work independently and take responsibility for your own work
• Readiness for solo work
• Ability to participate in the on-call rotation
• B-driving license and readiness to travel within the Southern Finland region for work tasks

It is great (but not essential) if you also have:

• Experience with biogas plants or gas refueling stations
• Experience with troubleshooting automation systems
• Experience working in a customer-facing role
• Readiness for occasional travel within Finland

• A salary according to the TES or better, which is always paid on time. In this job, your monthly salary will be between 3500-4200 euros, and it will be determined according to your skills and experience.
