Introduction

For an internationally active production organization in the Heuvelland region, we are looking for an experienced Prevention Advisor Level 1.

In this senior key position, you will have broad responsibility for safety within an international production environment. You combine strategic leadership with strong operational involvement and support various teams and locations within the EMEA region.

You will work closely with managers and safety teams and play an important role in the further development of the safety culture, risk management, and international safety programs. This is a role with a lot of autonomy and visible impact within a growing organization.

What Will You Do?

• You translate the international Health & Safety strategy into concrete initiatives and improvement programs within the various production locations.
• You coach and support managers on complex safety issues and provide expert advice regarding risk management, well-being, regulations, and safe working methods.
• You support the local safety teams and ensure a clear consultation structure, knowledge sharing, and alignment between the different locations.
• You lead, monitor, and report on proactive safety processes with a strong focus on risk control and the prevention of occupational accidents.
• You monitor the safety of employees, contractors, and external partners and ensure that procedures and safety regulations are correctly applied.
• You work closely with international safety experts regarding audits, safety management systems, and organization-wide safety programs.
• You analyze safety results and translate them into concrete improvement actions and strategic priorities.
• You contribute to the development and continuous improvement of safety policies, procedures, and standards in line with Belgian and European regulations.
• You guide the implementation of training and awareness programs and ensure that safety is structurally anchored in daily operations.
• You stimulate a proactive safety culture in which employees and managers take responsibility and continuously seek further improvements.

Who Are You?

• You possess the Prevention Advisor Level 1 certificate or are currently undergoing this training and have at least ten years of relevant experience within safety and prevention.
• You preferably have experience within a complex, international production or industrial environment and possess strong knowledge of Belgian well-being legislation and European safety directives.
• You have demonstrable experience in implementing safety programs, training, risk management, and further developing a strong safety culture.
• You are a strong communicator and coach who knows how to influence managers and employees at different levels and bring them along in change.
• You communicate fluently in French and English and feel comfortable within an international environment with various stakeholders and production locations.
