HSE Manager | Food Industry

For an internationally active organization within the food industry, we are looking for an HSE Manager. In this key role, you are responsible for further strengthening the safety policy and the safety culture across various European sites.

You combine strategic leadership with operational involvement and work closely with local safety teams, management, and international stakeholders. You will be given the space to further professionalize processes and build a uniform, proactive safety culture.

What Will You Do?

• You coach and support managers regarding Health & Safety, risk management, legislation, and contractor safety.
• You ensure strong collaboration between the various safety teams and stimulate knowledge sharing and a uniform safety approach.
• You implement and monitor proactive safety programs with a strong focus on risk control and occupational accident prevention.
• You support audits and the further implementation of safety management systems.
• You analyze complex safety issues and translate them into concrete and sustainable improvement measures.
• You contribute to the development and continuous improvement of the safety policy and ensure correct implementation within the various sites.
• You monitor safety results and KPIs and report on these to management.

Who Are You?

• You have higher education in occupational safety, health, or a technical field, or are equivalent through experience.
• You have at least 10 years of relevant experience within Health & Safety in an industrial or production-oriented environment.
• You are a Preventieadviseur Niveau 1 or are currently following the training.
• You have experience in implementing safety programs and further developing a strong safety culture.
• You possess good knowledge of Belgian welfare legislation and relevant European safety directives.
• You are a strong communicator and know how to convince employees and management at different levels and involve them in change.
• You communicate fluently in English and French.
