Project Director (Electrical) | Major Infrastructure Projects

Our client, an established engineering company in Singapore, is seeking an experienced Project Director (Electrical) to provide strategic, commercial and operational leadership for a major infrastructure project.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead the overall strategic, financial and operational delivery of large-scale electrical and multidisciplinary projects.
• Oversee projects from planning and execution through testing, commissioning and final handover.
• Align project objectives with business targets, profitability and operational requirements.
• Direct manpower, engineering resources, equipment planning and strategic vendor partnerships.
• Take ownership of project financial performance, profitability and cost forecasting.
• Lead negotiations for major contracts, subcontract packages and commercial matters.
• Oversee variation orders, claims, contractual risks and dispute-resolution matters.
• Serve as the senior escalation point for clients, consultants, main contractors and relevant stakeholders.
• Ensure project governance, quality, EHS and compliance standards are maintained.
• Lead and mentor Senior Project Managers, Project Managers and engineering teams.
• Drive operational efficiency and continuous improvement across project delivery.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Professional Engineer or related professional status would be advantageous.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in electrical engineering, design and project delivery.
• Experience in large-scale infrastructure, mission-critical, utility, industrial or complex engineering projects preferred.
• Strong experience reviewing electrical and vendor drawings.
• Strong commercial, contractual and financial-management knowledge.
• Proven leadership experience managing senior project and engineering teams.
• Excellent stakeholder-management and communication skills.
• Able to manage multiple deliverables under demanding project schedules.

• Annual bonus equivalent to approximately 1 month basic salary

• S$550 monthly transport allowance when using own vehicle, or company vehicle subject to company arrangement
