Data Engineering Manager (M/F)

We are looking for a Data Engineering Manager (M/F) on a permanent contract (CDI) to join our IT Department and lead the construction and evolution of our Data foundation.

THE ROLE

In a context of strong growth and the integration of many acquisitions, you will contribute to structuring, securing, and harmonizing the Group's data. Reporting to the CIO, you will work on the technical, project, and cross-functional dimensions of the IT transformation. You will operate in an international environment, in connection with Group teams, with Databricks as the reference technology.

YOUR MISSIONS

• Build and evolve the Data platform: manage the platform based on Databricks / Data Fabric, contribute to the architecture, structure data flows and models, guarantee data quality, availability, and reliability, and industrialize processing.
• Manage flows and integrations: coordinate exchanges between applications, streamline existing interfaces and flows, identify points of weakness, evolve integration mechanisms, and coordinate software publishers, integrators, and technical teams.
• Structure master data and data quality: contribute to the harmonization of master data, define quality rules, resolve inconsistencies between systems, and support business units in formalizing and prioritizing their needs.
• Lead Data Engineering projects: scope, plan, and monitor projects, coordinate business, IT, and partner teams, manage 3 external resources, monitor risks and dependencies, produce reporting, and ensure alignment with Group standards.
• Support Data & BI usage: contribute to the industrialization of reporting, work with user teams, ensure the reliability of data used in Power BI, and identify opportunities for data valuation.

TECHNICAL ENVIRONMENT

Databricks, Power BI, veterinary clinic business software, Odoo, Oracle, and Emarsys. Databricks is the Group's reference technology and a central element of the position.

REQUIRED PROFILE

With higher education in computer science, information systems, or data, you have at least 7 years of experience in Data Engineering, ideally in a transforming environment.

• Concrete experience with Databricks is indispensable.
• Good knowledge of Power BI.
• Mastery of challenges related to Data platforms, flows, master data, and application integration.
• Experience in project management and management of external resources.
• Professional English is indispensable, both spoken and written.

Autonomous, pragmatic, and structured, you have excellent interpersonal skills, a sense of service, and the ability to move complex topics forward.

TERMS

• CDI - Executive status (Cadre) with day-based forfait
• Remuneration: €50 to €60 K gross annual package depending on profile, including fixed and variable
• Position based in Villeneuve d'Ascq
• Remote work: up to 2 days/week after an in-person integration period
