Role & Responsibilities
- Conduct regular workplace inspections and identify unsafe acts, unsafe conditions and areas for improvement.
- Advise management, project teams and contractors on compliance with the Workplace Safety and Health Act, Regulations and applicable Codes of Practice.
- Review and provide advice on Risk Assessments (RA), Safe Work Procedures (SWP), Method Statements and Permit-to-Work (PTW) requirements.
- Monitor site activities and ensure appropriate WSH control measures are properly implemented and maintained.
- Investigate workplace incidents, near misses and dangerous occurrences, and recommend appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
- Prepare WSH inspection reports, incident reports, statistics and other required safety documentation.
- Conduct or support toolbox meetings, safety briefings, Safety Time-Outs and other WSH awareness programmes.
- Attend and support WSH Committee meetings, project meetings, audits and inspections where required.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, consultants and relevant authorities on WSH-related matters.
- Support internal and external WSH audits and continual improvement initiatives, including follow-up and closure of safety findings.
Requirements
- Registered WSHO with the Ministry of Manpower (MOM), Singapore.
- Relevant experience in construction, facilities, infrastructure or project-based environments will be advantageous.
- Able to prepare clear and professional reports.
- 5.5 or 6 day work week
