Maintenance Engineer in Thermal Power Plant (M/F)
Job Description:
Our client is looking for their Mechanical and Electrotechnical Maintenance Manager for thermal power plants.
You will act as both a manager, a technical expert, and a guarantor of customer satisfaction, working in connection with internal teams and industrial partners.
Your Missions
Reporting to the site management, you will manage the maintenance of production equipment based on technologies similar to marine engines. Organize and supervise the mechanical and electrical maintenance teams
- Guarantee the performance, reliability, and availability of thermal engines
- Deploy preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance strategies
- Ensure strict compliance with HSE standards and contractual requirements
- Implement tools for monitoring and performance optimization
Your Daily Routine***Plan and supervise heavy maintenance operations (major overhauls, scheduled shutdowns)
- Lead fault diagnostics and in-depth analyses (marine-type methodology)
- Monitor key systems: fuel, lubrication, cooling, compressed air, combustion
- Anticipate spare parts needs and coordinate with support teams
- Actively contribute to risk prevention and the zero-incident objective
- Supervise and develop the skills of your technical teams
- Ensure accurate reporting to management
Profile Description:
An experienced Engineer or Senior Technician, you ideally come from the merchant navy or the naval sector. You notably possess: Solid expertise in marine Diesel engines (ideally MAN engines or equivalent)
- Excellent mastery of technical systems: fuel, oil, cooling, air, and gas
- Significant experience in the maintenance of heavy thermal engines
- Practice in advanced diagnostics and interventions in constrained environments
- Experience in managing technical teams
- A strong safety culture and operational rigor
Onboard experience (Chief Engineer, Second Engineer, or equivalent) will be particularly appreciated. Travel abroad 1 week every 1.5 months. English is imperative.
