Metrology Technician (m/f/d) (Metrology Technician (Energy Technology))

As a metrology technician*, you will program tactile and multisensory coordinate measuring machines. You will perform measurements on injection-molded plastic parts and evaluate the measurement results based on drawings and CAD models. In doing so, you will play a significant role in ensuring optimal product quality in the manufacturing of high-quality plastic components for the Business Units Mobility, Rail Infrastructure, New Energy and Home Appliance as well as Medical.

• create, modify, and optimize measurement programs for the 3D coordinate measuring machine and perform measurements with it.
• record and check testing and clamping devices including release and support the qualification of measurement systems.
• support the sampling of new parts and create initial sample inspection reports.
• train your colleagues on topics in the field of metrology.
• support the project team regarding drawing inspection and the development of the measurement strategy.

You are a good fit for us if you ...

• have successfully completed technical training as well as ideally metrology technician training.
• have already gained professional experience in testing and quality management and ideally have experience in medical and plastics technology.
• have knowledge in the operation and programming of 3D coordinate measuring machines, in the area of form and positional tolerances, as well as in handling common measuring instruments.
• have good written and spoken English skills.
• are willing to work in shifts, are a team player and have strong communication skills, and bring flexibility and an independent way of working.
