Purchasing Coordinator - Local Sourcing & Inventory Replenishment

We are looking for a proactive and dependable Purchasing Coordinator to take ownership of our local purchasing and stock-replenishment activities.

This is a hands-on role for someone who is organised, accurate and follows matters through from request to delivery. You will work with internal departments and local suppliers to ensure that the right items are sourced,ordered and delivered on time.

KeyResponsibilities

• Monitor inventory levels and arrange timely replenishment of locally purchased items.
• Source suitable local suppliers for new products and operational requirements.
• Obtain and compare quotations based on pricing, specifications, availability and delivery lead time.
• Prepare purchase orders and verify item descriptions, quantities, pack sizes and prices before orders are placed.
• Follow up proactively with suppliers on stock availability, order confirmation and delivery schedules.
• Identify delays or supply issues early and propose suitable alternatives.
• Coordinate deliveries and resolve shortages, incorrect items and other discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate supplier information, quotations, purchase records and supporting documents.
• Keep internal departments informed of order status, delays and outstanding matters.
• Provide purchasing and administrative support where required.

What We Are Looking For

• Relevant purchasing, procurement or administrative experience is preferred.
• Candidates without direct purchasing experience may also apply if they are willing to learn and can demonstrate strong organisational and follow-up skills.
• Careful and detail-oriented, particularly when handling quantities, prices and product specifications.
• Able to prioritise multiple requests and meet deadlines.
• Confident communicating and following up with suppliers and internal departments.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and email.
• Resourceful when dealing with unavailable items or delivery issues.
• Strong sense of urgency, responsibility and ownership.
• Able to work independently and follow assigned matters through to completion.

You keep stock replenishment and purchasing matters moving without waiting to be chased. Orders are accurate, potential delays are highlighted early, and stakeholders receive clear and timely updates.

Important Availability Requirement
