Do you want to be there from the very first cup of coffee when a new café operation takes shape at a well-known visitor destination in Tromsø?

In the spring of 2027, a new 3,000 m² building will open with a restaurant, cocktail bar, café, and facilities for meetings and events. The client is now seeking a service-oriented and proactive café manager who wants to create great guest experiences and contribute to leaving their mark on the operation from the start.

ABOUT THE POSITION

This is a permanent full-time position directly with the client, with a workplace in Tromsdalen. Desired start date is November 1, 2026, or by agreement.

You will report to the restaurant manager and will play an important role in building up the café's routines and working methods before the opening. You enjoy both welcoming guests and ensuring that the practical aspects behind the scenes function smoothly.

DUTIES

  • Welcome guests and contribute to a warm and professional reception.
  • Prepare the café for service and ensure it is well-stocked and ready.
  • Responsible for ordering and inventory management.
  • Plan work shifts and follow up on the team's daily work.
  • Reset the café and ensure it is clean and ready after service.
  • Collaborate closely with the restaurant manager and other departments.

  • Are service-oriented, structured, and self-driven.

  • Speak English fluently. Norwegian or other languages are meritorious.
  • Have relevant education, which is meritorious.
