assistant executive housekeeper

Wild Chicory and our neighbouring restaurant group are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented *Restaurant Housekeeper / Cleaner* to provide consistent weekly cleaning across our Midtown Toronto locations.

This is a *permanent payroll position*, not a cash job. We are looking for someone dependable, thorough and comfortable working independently while maintaining high cleaning standards week after week.

*Current Schedule*

Approximately *10 hours per week to start*, with additional hours expected as the restaurant group grows.

*Wild Chicory ? approximately 5 hours/week* Cleaning can be completed on *Sunday, Monday, or early Tuesday morning*.

*Hazel?s Diner ? approximately 5 hours/week* Cleaning can be completed *Sunday after approximately 4:00 PM or anytime Monday*.

A third nearby restaurant is expected to add approximately *2?3 additional hours per week* once operational.

*Two of the restaurant locations are side by side*, making back-to-back cleaning shifts easy and minimizing travel between locations.

*Responsibilities*

• Thoroughly clean dining rooms, kitchens and service areas
• Sweep, vacuum and mop floors
• Clean and sanitize washrooms
• Clean counters, surfaces, doors, fixtures and high-touch areas
• Degrease and clean kitchen surfaces and equipment exteriors
• Empty garbage and recycling
• Complete regular deep-cleaning tasks as required
• Follow an established cleaning checklist
• Maintain cleaning supplies and advise when products need replenishing
• Notice areas requiring extra attention and take initiative
• Help ensure each restaurant is clean, organized and ready for service

*Qualifications*

• Minimum *1 year of professional cleaning or housekeeping experience preferred*
• Restaurant or commercial cleaning experience is a strong asset
• Reliable and punctual
• Strong attention to detail
• Comfortable working independently
• Able to perform physical cleaning work for several hours at a time
• Able to reliably travel to the Mount Pleasant / Davisville area
• Available during at least one of the required cleaning windows
• Able to maintain consistent standards week after week
