Are you the creative brain behind the modernization and automation of our factory? Wicro in Kessel is looking for an independent automation engineer who brings together technology and innovation. You identify opportunities for automation, guide projects from idea to delivery, and actively contribute to building smart automation solutions. You design, program, and commission systems, working closely with the technical service, production, management, and external partners.

what you will be doing

Your activities include:

• Identifying and developing automation and improvement projects;
• Designing, programming, and commissioning automation solutions, robots, and PLC controls;
• Developing and optimizing robots and assembly tooling;
• Supervising and managing external suppliers and machine builders;
• Optimizing and standardizing production processes according to Lean Manufacturing;
• Supporting the Technical Service with complex malfunctions and technical issues;
• Managing technical documentation and automation standards.

Your profile

• HBO working and thinking level in a technical field;
• Experience with production automation, robotics, and PLC controls;
• Experience with 3D drawing (SolidWorks is a plus);
• Analytical, independent, and strong in project management;
• Communicatively skilled and practical-minded;
• A technician who both manages projects and enjoys building and programming themselves.
• Good command of technical English.
