• develop and execute the innovation strategy.
• identify and initiate promising innovations.
• ensure strong collaboration between technological, data, and social innovation.
• manage the quality and results of innovations and test them against the goals of the organization.
• guide project leaders, assemble teams, and coordinate innovation trajectories.
• manage the innovation budget and ensure additional funding (such as subsidies).
• advise the board and management on innovation, trends, and choices.
• build and maintain a strong network and represent Wetterskip Fryslân externally.

This is what you bring You…

• possess hbo+/wo work and thinking level.
• have broad knowledge of innovating, particularly at the intersection of technological, data, and social innovation.
• have experience with innovation and research assignments at European, national, and regional levels, including complex collaborations.
• have experience in drafting innovation policy and advising the board and management in a political-administrative context.
• have knowledge of the English language, in connection with European subsidies and international partners.
