We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our team for regional US runs . The Truck Driver will be responsible for transporting goods over short and long distances while adhering to all safety regulations and traffic laws. The ideal candidate should have a strong work ethic, excellent driving record, and the ability to work independently.
- Safely operate a variety of trucks, including vehicles, to transport goods to designated locations
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment.
- Perform routine checks on vehicles to ensure proper maintenance and report any issues promptly
- Plan routes effectively to ensure timely deliveries and optimize fuel efficiency
- Communicate with dispatchers and team members to coordinate deliveries and pick-ups
- Adhere to all safety regulations and traffic laws during transportation
- Maintain accurate driving logs and complete necessary paperwork for each trip
Requirements
-Must be able to cross the border -Fast Card or TWIC card an asset but not required
- Proven experience in and transporting goods safely
- Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance
- Familiarity with handling different types of cargo and cargo securement
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently
- Tractor-trailer: 5 years (required)
Licence/Certification
- Class 1 Licence (required)
- Air Brake Endorsement (required)
