Join the team as: Litigation Lawyer

We are looking for a person with analytical thinking, solid legal knowledge, a high sense of ethics and integrity, results orientation, and the ability to manage complex matters strategically. They must be able to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, influence different levels of the organization, and promote a culture of compliance and risk prevention. The position ensures the proper defense of the interests of Grupo Smurfit Westrock México, the correct handling of investigations derived from the Ethics Line and other reporting sources, the efficient coordination of external law firms, and the strengthening of the compliance program, contributing to an integral, ethical operation aligned with business objectives.

REQUISITOS:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Law or related field. (Degree)
• Experience: minimum of 5 years in an operational management position.
• Knowledge: Litigio Mercantil, Civil, Compliance.
• Competencies: Decision making, analytical capacity, - intermediate-advanced English

RESPONSABILIDADES:

• Conduct internal investigations related to ethics, compliance, and possible regulatory non-compliance.
• Manage and coordinate strategic litigation in civil, mercantil, labor, administrative, and criminal matters.
• Represent the company before judicial, administrative, and regulatory authorities.
• Coordinate the obtaining and analysis of evidence for investigations, procedures, and litigation.
• Supervise external law firms, controlling strategy, budget, and results.
• Advise different business areas on compliance, risk management, and corporate governance.
• Support the negotiation, review, and drafting of contracts, identifying risks and mitigation opportunities.
