grain farm manager

Education:

Other trades certificate or diploma. or equivalent experience.

Work site environment:

• Dry pea and bean farming.
• Oilseed (except soybean) farming.
• Other grain farming.
• Wheat farming.
• Dusty.

• Outdoors.
• Harvest crops.

Tasks:

• Coordinate planting and cultivating activities.
• Implement soil fertility programs.
• Organize planting, cultivating and crop harvesting activities.
• Oversee the activities of clearing the fields.
• Maintain farm machinery, equipment and buildings.
• Manage overall operation of farm.
• Perform general farm duties.
• Manage staff and assign duties.

Supervision:

5-10 people.

Equipment and machinery experience:

• Bulk handling system.
• Fertilizer applicator.
• Harvesters.
• Seed drill.
• Sprayer or duster.
• Storage and silage system.
• Tractor.
• Truck.

Transportation/travel information:

• Own vehicle.
• Valid driver's licence.
