Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist in assessing fire hazards at workplaces and updating fire protection regulations
• Advise on fire-hazardous work processes and the use of flammable working materials
• Assist in compliance with fire protection regulations during new construction, remodeling, and expansion, changes of use, leases, and procurements
• Monitor that escape and rescue plans, fire brigade plans, alarm plans, etc., are up to date, initiate updates if necessary, and assist in the process
• Plan, organize, and conduct evacuation drills and training
• Assist in the implementation of official orders or requirements from the fire insurer
• Monitor the usability of escape and rescue routes
• Document activities in the operation, e.g., inspection protocols, test reports, deficiency reports, and annual report
• Support the German sites (ESW, STO, Labor, Toolshop, KFW) in all fire protection matters

Education

• Completed technical vocational training
• Further training as a specialist construction supervisor for fire protection (Fachbauleiter Brandschutz) desirable

Professional Experience

• At least 5 years of experience in a technically oriented field of activity

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Good knowledge of MS Office
• Fluent English skills
• Good communication and conflict resolution skills
• High degree of flexibility / agility

The target total compensation is determined based on objective and gender-neutral criteria, including relevant professional experience, qualifications, skills, market comparison data, geographic location, as well as the scope and responsibility of the position.
