*About the Role*
As an *Outside Sales Representative*, you will guide homeowners through landscape maintenance and improvement decisions, provide expert recommendations, and convert leads into long-term clients. You begin with structured training in our North Vancouver office, then transition into outside sales throughout the Lower Mainland.
*Role Impact*
This role ensures homeowners receive a seamless, high?quality experience from first contact to signed contract. You strengthen long?term client relationships, drive revenue through consultative, relationship?based sales, and represent the expertise and service standards that define West Coast Lawns & Gardens. Your landscape assessments and professional recommendations help homeowners understand their needs, explore solutions, and confidently choose the right services to improve and maintain their outdoor spaces.
*Key Responsibilities*
*Training & Customer Experience Foundations*
You will work from our North Vancouver office to learn:
- Customer service and client communication standards
- Lead management and CRM usage (Service Autopilot)
- Company services, pricing, and proposal structure
- Job costing and marketing fundamentals
- How to apply your existing plant/landscape or home?service knowledge to our offerings
*During this phase, you will:*
- Respond to incoming leads via phone, email, and text
- Qualify and convert leads into booked opportunities
- Ensure smooth customer transitions and high satisfaction
- Build the sales and service foundation needed for outside sales
*Transition to Outside Sales*
Once trained, you will begin meeting clients at their properties across the Lower Mainland.
*Responsibilities include:*
- Conducting on-site assessments of lawns and gardens
- Providing expert recommendations on design, maintenance, and problem-solving
- Diagnosing issues such as drainage, soil health, pests, and plant decline
- Creating clear, compelling proposals
- Closing contracts and building long-term client relationships
- Maintaining ongoing communication and customer satisfaction
- Reporting directly to the Director
*Full-Time Outside Sales Representative*
Your typical day includes:
- Meeting 3?5 clients per day
- Walking their property and identifying needs
- Designing solutions and booking contracts
- Managing your client portfolio
- Maintaining strong follow-up and customer service
- Collaborating with operations to ensure project success
