The nurse will provide direct patient care, including assessment, medication administration, wound care, and monitoring of vital signs, in alignment with local protocols and organizational standards. Daily responsibilities include documenting care accurately, assisting with treatment plans, and collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to support patient recovery and health education. The nurse will participate in community health initiatives, conduct patient and family education on disease prevention and health maintenance, and help organize clinics or outreach activities as needed. The role also involves maintaining infection control practices, safeguarding patient confidentiality, and contributing to a supportive, compassionate care environment. Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse license and formal nursing education from an accredited institution. Experience in clinical patient care, including assessment, care planning, medication administration, and basic emergency response. Strong documentation, record-keeping, and organizational skills to maintain accurate patient information. Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams and communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues. Knowledge of infection prevention, basic public health principles, and community health practices. Adaptability to resource-limited settings, cultural sensitivity, and commitment to ethical, patient-centered care. Proficiency in English; additional local language skills are an advantage. Prior experience in mission, rural, or community-based healthcare settings in West Africa is beneficial.
