Senior Electrical Design Engineer / Lead Electrical Engineer
At WeQuel, we are now looking for an experienced electrical designer/Lead Electrical Engineer in Västerås, where you will become an important part of the customer's technical project organization, focusing on the design and development of control and protection systems, electrical plant systems, and associated auxiliary equipment. In this role, you are responsible for the design and integration of third-party systems, the production of drawings and product configurations, and you serve as the lead engineer in delivery projects, improvement projects, and tender work. You lead and coordinate the technical work in projects and ensure that technical solutions meet customer requirements, quality requirements, and business processes.

Your tasks: Design and construction of control and protection systems
Development of electrical plant systems and auxiliary equipment
Design and integration of third-party systems
Production of drawings, technical documentation, and product configurations
Lead engineer role in delivery projects, improvement projects, and tender work
Leading and coordinating technical work in projects
Ensuring that technical solutions meet customer, quality, and process requirements
Advanced technical analysis and problem-solving
Continuous development of new and improved technical solutions
You work in a dynamic environment where you independently drive your own workflow while simultaneously collaborating with several interfaces within the organization.
Requirements: At least 7 years of experience in similar roles within electrical design or electric power engineering
At least 6 years of relevant experience in the field in combination with a technical degree, or alternatively other technical education combined with more than 15 years of relevant experience
MSc in Engineering or BEng in electric power, electrical engineering, or equivalent
Very good knowledge of English, both spoken and written
Documented experience in the construction and design of control and protection systems
Experience with electrical plant systems and auxiliary systems
Experience in leading and coordinating technical work within projects
Experience in producing technical documentation, drawings, and product configurations
Good ability to translate technical requirements into verified design solutions
Merit: Experience with FACTS facilities

Experience with Engineering Base
Experience with the calculation tool ETAP
