What we do at Weir
We are global leaders in technology for sustainable mining. We help our customers extract the resources the world needs more efficiently and sustainably. The future of our planet depends on the transition toward renewable energies, and that transition is only possible thanks to the metals and minerals our customers produce. Therefore, we work hand in hand with mining operations around the world to move less rock, use less energy, make more efficient use of water, and generate less waste. Together, we drive smarter, more efficient, and more sustainable mining.
Generate your impact
You will play a key role in solving real challenges. You will apply your skills to achieve results that generate impact, whether through engineering, planning, or customer support. You will work with a clear purpose, learn every day, and contribute to building a more sustainable future.
What you will do
Inventory Analysis and Optimization: Analyze and monitor inventory levels, service levels, and working capital to ensure product availability. The role involves constant evaluation of forecast accuracy and proactive adjustments to support Sales and Planning teams. Success will be measured by increased forecast reliability and alignment with business objectives.
Data Visualization and Reporting: Create and automate dashboards and reports using Power BI, Power Automate, and Power Apps to transform complex data into useful information for the Sales, Planning, and Operations areas. Daily tasks include consolidating information from SAP and other sources, automating reporting processes, and delivering timely information for decision-making. Success will be reflected in greater data accessibility and better support for decision-making.
Participation in the SIOP Process: Actively participate in Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP) processes, evaluating the impact of changes in demand, capacity, and supply. This includes cross-functional collaboration with different areas to align inventory and sales plans with operational capabilities. Success will be measured by the effective integration of inventory analysis within SIOP cycles.
Continuous Improvement and Risk Management: Identify trends, risks, and opportunities through data analysis, contributing to the continuous improvement of processes. The role requires initiative to propose improvements in data management and inventory strategies. Success will be reflected in greater process efficiency and risk mitigation.
