Job Responsibilities
Site Supervision
- Supervise and coordinate daily building construction activities on site.
- Monitor site progress to ensure works are completed according to approved drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, consultants, clients, and relevant authorities.
- Monitor manpower deployment, work productivity, and construction progress.
Technical Duties
- Review construction drawings and identify discrepancies or technical issues.
- Prepare work schedules, method statements, and technical submissions.
- Conduct site inspections, measurements, and quality checks.
- Resolve site technical issues and coordinate design clarifications with consultants.
- Assist the Project Manager in planning and executing project activities.
Quality Control
- Ensure all construction works comply with project specifications, quality standards, and statutory requirements.
- Carry out inspections and maintain quality records.
- Monitor rectification works and follow up on non-conformance issues.
- Ensure materials and workmanship meet project requirements.
Safety Management
- Enforce Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations onsite.
- Conduct toolbox meetings and safety briefings.
- Identify potential safety hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with company safety policies and site procedures.
Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
- Maintain site records, inspection reports, and as-built documentation.
- Coordinate material deliveries and monitor site resources.
- Support the submission of shop drawings, technical documents, and project reports.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Building Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in building construction projects.
- Good knowledge of building construction methods, project coordination, and site supervision.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical specifications.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and other construction-related software.
- Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Able to work independently and under tight project schedules.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in residential, commercial, industrial, or institutional building projects.
- Knowledge of Singapore building regulations, construction practices, and quality standards.
- Possession of Workplace Safety and Health (WSH)certifications will be an advantage.
