Pipefitting & Welding Worker
Job Responsibilities
- Install, assemble, repair and maintain piping systems for HVAC/ACMV and mechanical works.
- Carry out pipe cutting, threading, bending, fitting and installation according to drawings and site requirements.
- Perform welding and fabrication works for metal and stainless-steel components, piping and supports.
- Carry out metal fabrication, including measuring, cutting, grinding, drilling, fitting and assembly.
- Perform stainless-steel fabrication and welding works to the required dimensions and specifications.
- Read and follow piping layouts, shop drawings and work instructions.
- Perform measurement, alignment and fitting of pipes, valves, supports and related components.
- Assist with testing, inspection and rectification of piping and welding works.
- Ensure welding, fabrication and installation works comply with workplace safety and project requirements.
- Maintain proper housekeeping at the worksite.
- Carry out other related duties assigned by the supervisor or project manager.
Job Requirements
- Possess a valid BCA-recognised pipefitting / relevant construction trade certificate.
- Minimum 1 year of relevant pipefitting and/or welding experience.
- Experience in metal fabrication and stainless-steel fabrication/welding will be an advantage.
- Experience in HVAC/ACMV, mechanical piping or building services will be an advantage.
- Able to read and understand basic piping drawings, fabrication drawings and layouts.
- Familiar with common welding, pipefitting and metal fabrication tools and equipment.
- Able to carry out basic welding and fabrication works on mild steel and stainless steel.
- Good understanding of workplace safety requirements.
- Physically fit and able to work at project sites.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willing to work overtime when required.
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday: 8:00 AM –5:00 PM
- Saturday: 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Salary& Benefits
- Basic salary: S$2,200 – S$3,000 per month, depending on experience and qualifications.
- Overtime payment will be provided where applicable.
- Annual leave and medical benefits in accordance with company policy and applicable Singapore employment requirements.
