Regional Airfreight Procurement Manager [EL]

Develop and implement regional airfreight procurement strategies aligned with business objectives across South Asia, Southeast Asia and Oceania.

Build and maintain strategic relationships with key airlines, General Sales Agents (GSAs) and other carrier partners.

Lead regional carrier procurement exercises, including RFQs, commercial negotiations, contract renewals and annual rate reviews.

Negotiate competitive rates, space commitments and capacity allocations across key trade lanes.

Manage and negotiate long-term agreements, Block Space Agreements (BSAs), Capacity Purchase Agreements (CPAs), ad hoc rates and other tactical procurement arrangements.

Monitor airfreight market conditions, capacity trends, pricing developments and changes in airline networks to identify commercial opportunities and risks.

Analyse capacity supply and demand across major trade lanes and recommend appropriate procurement strategies.

Develop contingency procurement and capacity plans to support peak seasons, market disruptions and urgent business requirements.

Monitor contractual compliance and airline performance against agreed rates, capacity, service levels and commercial commitments.

Drive procurement initiatives that enhance cost efficiency, yield, margins, carrier utilisation and overall market competitiveness.

Establish regional procurement governance, standards and consistent procurement practices across countries and business units.

Develop carrier scorecards and KPIs to track procurement savings, service quality, capacity utilisation and overall carrier performance.

Conduct regular business reviews with strategic airline partners and drive agreed performance improvement initiatives.

Support major customer tenders and commercial opportunities by securing competitive, reliable and scalable carrier solutions.

Collaborate with country Airfreight teams, overseas offices, gateway operations, Finance and Management on procurement planning, budgeting and regional or global initiatives.
