Project Director (Construction) [SL]

Your tasks

• Oversee overall construction operations and ensure projects meet agreed schedules, budgets, quality standards and contractual requirements.
• Develop project strategies, construction plans, policies and procedures to improve project delivery and operational efficiency.
• Lead Project Managers, Construction Managers and Senior Engineers to achieve project objectives.
• Review and approve construction plans, tender documents, contracts and project submissions.
• Monitor construction progress, costs, quality, subcontractor performance and project risks.
• Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, contractual requirements, workplace safety and health standards, and environmental policies.
• Oversee project completion, commissioning, handover and defect rectification.
• Manage project budgets, resource allocation, stakeholder relationships and business development initiatives.
• Promote sustainability, green building practices, new technologies and continuous improvement.
• Lead staff development, performance management and organisational planning.
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, including the Building Control Act, Electricity Act, Fire Safety Act and Workplace Safety and Health Act.
