Responsible for managing pharmaceutical procurement activities from sourcing and purchasing through to inventory coordination and supplier management. The role works closely with suppliers, healthcare teams, warehouse operations, and Finance to ensure medications are available when required while meeting regulatory and quality standards. Key Responsibilities Support pharmaceutical sourcing, tender exercises, quotation evaluation, and supplier selection based on price, quality, availability, and delivery performance. Manage relationships with pharmaceutical manufacturers, wholesalers, and approved suppliers. Monitor supplier performance, contractual terms, pricing, and agreement validity. Analyze medication consumption and inventory trends to support demand forecasting and minimize stockouts, overstocking, and product expiry. Consolidate purchase requests and generate and track purchase orders using ERP systems such as Microsoft Business Central. Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to ensure timely delivery of pharmaceutical products. Monitor cold-chain requirements for temperature-sensitive products such as vaccines and insulin. Support medication repacking activities for urgent clinic requirements, where applicable. Ensure procurement and inventory activities comply with applicable pharmaceutical and healthcare regulations. Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation for audit and compliance purposes. Coordinate product recall activities and follow up on medication quality or packaging concerns. Identify cost-saving opportunities through competitive sourcing, bulk purchasing, and appropriate generic or bioequivalent alternatives. Work with Finance to resolve discrepancies involving purchase orders, delivery notes, and invoices. Process Goods Received Notes (GRNs) in the relevant systems. Prepare procurement, inventory, and operational reports for management review. Requirements

Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Pharmacy, or a related discipline. Relevant experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain, or a related function. Experience in healthcare or pharmaceutical procurement is an advantage. Familiarity with ERP procurement systems, such as Microsoft Business Central, is an advantage. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP and Pivot Tables, for inventory tracking, data analysis, and spend analysis. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage procurement records, purchase orders, and supplier information accurately. Good analytical, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
