Clinical Service Delivery Deliver comprehensive occupational therapy assessment, intervention and rehabilitation services to residents in accordance with their individual needs and care plans.

Contribute professional occupational therapy expertise during multidisciplinary patient review meetings and care planning discussions.

Provide clinical guidance and supervision to Therapy Assistants and volunteers in activities relevant to occupational therapy services.

Establish effective communication and collaborative working relationships with rehabilitation professionals and other members of the multidisciplinary care team.

Professional Practice, Education & Training Maintain professional competence through continuous learning and awareness of current developments, evidence-based practices and standards in occupational therapy.

Contribute to the development, review and enhancement of occupational therapy services and clinical practices within the department.

Support the training and development of therapy aides, therapy associates, volunteers and caregivers in areas relevant to their roles.

Provide appropriate clinical supervision, guidance and feedback to OT students and Therapy Assistant students during clinical placements.

Contribute to staff education and in-service training for nursing staff on occupational therapy, functional rehabilitation and related areas.

Participate in research, clinical audits, service evaluation and other professional development activities, where applicable.

Operational & Administrative Responsibilities Support service continuity by providing appropriate coverage for occupational therapy functions within the Allied Health Team when required.

Maintain accurate departmental workload data and incident records, and provide relevant reports to the Head of Allied Health and designated Senior Therapist.

Contribute professional feedback and performance-related input for Therapy Assistants and Therapy Associates, in accordance with organisational processes.

Service Development & Quality Improvement Participate in departmental initiatives, interdepartmental committees, quality improvement projects and organisational programmes.

Identify service delivery issues and opportunities for improvement, and contribute to the development and implementation of appropriate solutions.
