Supply Chain & Forecasting E-Commerce (m/f/d) (E-Commerce Manager)

We sell refurbished electronics via Amazon, eBay, Kaufland, MediaMarkt, Refurbed, Back Market and Otto — AirPods, iPhones, Samsung, Xiaomi, Bosch, Roborock and other categories. We are a start-up in Hamburg and are growing fast.

You are responsible for ensuring that the right goods are there in the right quantity at the right time. This means: forecasting sales, determining order quantities, tracking deliveries, analyzing inventory. Too little stock costs us revenue, too much ties up capital — your task is to maintain this balance across all categories.

You will extract the data basis for this yourself from Plentymarkets. A significant part of the work is list and data work in Excel — preparing sales data, calculating stock coverage, maintaining supplier lists, tracking forecasts. This is not always exciting, but it is the foundation for every ordering decision. Many of the evaluations and KPIs that you need do not yet exist with us — you will build them.

Your Tasks

• Forecasting and sales planning: evaluating sales data and forecasting requirements per category and model for the coming months
• Planning order quantities, coordinating with suppliers, and triggering orders
• Planning, controlling, and tracking inbound deliveries until the goods are in the warehouse — including following up in case of delays
• Analyzing inventory: stock coverage, excess stock, shortages, capital tie-up, sales recommendations for slow-movers
• Building and maintaining KPIs and reports yourself: forecast accuracy, delivery reliability, stock coverage, purchase prices over time
• Extracting data from Plentymarkets and processing it into reliable evaluations in Excel
• Building and documenting processes where improvisation has occurred so far
• Researching and evaluating new products and categories: market prices, competition, purchasing conditions, margin potential
• Communication with international suppliers, predominantly in English

Your Profile

• Experience in E-Commerce, ideally in Supply Chain, Planning, Disposition, Forecasting or Purchasing
• Very good Excel skills: Pivot, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, working with large amounts of data. This is a daily tool, not a nice-to-have
• Strong analytical thinking: you recognize patterns in numbers and derive concrete ordering decisions from them
• Diligence and reliability — an error in quantity planning directly affects revenue or tied-up capital
• Structured, independent way of working. In a start-up, there are no processes for many things yet — you will help build them
• Very good written and spoken English skills for supplier communication
• Willingness to lend a hand even outside of your own job description

Nice to have

• Experience with ERP systems, ideally Plentymarkets
• Knowledge of forecasting models or BI tools
• Experience in international purchasing, especially China sourcing
