Our client is a growing provider of complex care and domiciliary care, committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred support to individuals and communities. As the organisation continues to grow, they are looking for an experienced and driven Tender Writer & Business Development Co-ordinator to support their continued expansion and help secure new business opportunities. This is a varied and influential role, combining high-quality tender writing with business development support. You will take ownership of the tender pipeline, identify and respond to new contract opportunities, and produce compelling, evidence-based bid submissions that reflect the organisation’s values, expertise, and quality of care. Key Responsibilities Tender Writing & Bid Management Lead the preparation, writing, and submission of high-quality tender responses for local authority, NHS, and private sector commissioners, with a specific focus on homecare and domiciliary care contracts. Manage the full bid lifecycle from opportunity identification through to submission and post-tender feedback. Maintain a library of bid content, case studies, policies, and quality statements, keeping all material current and compliant. Co-ordinate responses across internal stakeholders — including Registered Managers, clinical leads, and the senior leadership team — ensuring accurate, evidenced submissions. Track and report on tender pipeline activity, win rates, and outcomes. Monitor procurement portals and sector publications to identify new opportunities. Business Development Support Support the BD team with preparation for new business presentations, pitches, and proposals. Conduct market research and competitor analysis to inform BD strategy and positioning. Assist in the development of BD collateral, including capability statements, service brochures, and one-pagers. Support CRM administration and pipeline tracking to ensure business development activity is accurately recorded. Contribute to relationship management activity with commissioners, ICBs, and procurement leads. Business Portal Maintenance Maintain and update our client’s presence across relevant procurement and supplier portals, ensuring all accreditations, policies, and company information are accurate and up to date. Monitor portal notifications, deadlines, and re-accreditation requirements. Liaise with relevant internal teams to gather documentation and approvals required for portal compliance. Events & Stakeholder Engagement Support the BD team in planning and delivering external events, including commissioner days, networking events, and sector conferences. Represent our client at relevant events, building relationships with key stakeholders. Coordinate logistics for BD events, including venue, materials, delegate communications, and post-event follow-up. Contribute content and ideas to our client’s external profile, including award submissions, sector publications, and LinkedIn activity. Person Specification Essential 3–5 years' experience in tender writing, bid management, or business development, ideally within health and social care, homecare, or a regulated sector. Demonstrable track record of producing successful bid submissions. Excellent written communication skills — ability to write clearly, compellingly, and to word limits. Strong project management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously. Experience using public sector procurement portals to identify, track, and respond to tender opportunities. Ability to interpret complex tender specifications and translate requirements into high-quality written responses. Confident working cross-functionally and engaging senior stakeholders to gather input. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Access to a vehicle and full UK driving licence, including business insurance. Desirable Experience in domiciliary care, complex care, or community healthcare services. Familiarity with CQC regulatory requirements and quality frameworks relevant to homecare. Knowledge of local authority and NHS commissioning processes.
