An insurance agency network requires an Accountant / CFO

For a large nationwide insurance agency network owned by a group of companies in the finance sector, a CPA or Tax Advisor with experience in the field or a Financial Accountant is required.

Reporting to the Group Chairman to lead and manage the accounting and finance system within the companies. 50% position as CFO and 50% position as personal assistant to the group owners (including economic work within it).

The role includes:

• Building and managing the companies' budget
• Managing external accountants and payroll accountants
• Working with external CPA firms
• Preparing regular inter-company accounting reports between activities and sub-agents
• Checking commissions against insurance companies
• Examining investments, pricing, tenders with authorities and local councils, and managing and operating investment assets within the group.
• Performing various controls such as: financial and commission control against insurance companies, collections, cash flow.
• Regulatory reporting and reporting to the Board of Directors.
• Managing work processes, improving and optimizing work processes with various interfaces within and outside the company, all subject to regulation and company procedures.
• Performing quality control on the correctness of processes, their quality, and their results.
• Resource management, defining areas of responsibility, and meeting targets.
• A dynamic and changing work environment.
• Responsibility for additional areas within the organization.

Requirements:

• At least one/two years of experience as an Accountant.
• Experience in a similar role
• Certified CPA with a license, or Tax Advisor, or a degree in Accounting from a recognized Israeli institution
• Resident of Jerusalem and the surrounding area
• English speaker
• High-level Excel (Power Query, Power BI, Power Pivot / VBA - an advantage).
• Experience in building and managing processes.
• Experience working with many interfaces.
• Ability for personal management and team management while meeting set targets.

The position is intended for both women and men. Must be technological and a computer person; working 80% position is also possible.
