Job Description

Within Wavestone's Finance Department, you will be part of the Legal team, composed of 3 jurists, who will support you during your apprenticeship. This apprenticeship is part of the company's risk management framework.

Supervised by the team's jurists, you will provide support to operational staff to control legal risks and will act as a contributor to raising awareness and securing them.

Interacting with many employees within the company and working closely with General Management, your interpersonal skills will be an asset.

It is therefore in a challenging, constantly evolving context and an international environment that you will be required to prioritize the following themes:

Contractual support to operational staff

• Participate in the review and analysis of all types of contracts (clients, suppliers, subcontractors, etc.);
• Contribute, alongside the team's jurists, to the advice, negotiation, and drafting of all types of contracts;
• Assist operational staff on all types of cross-functional legal questions;
• Participate in the formalization of contract templates and their update according to changes in local regulations;
• Contribute through your actions to the development of the firm's legal culture.

Legal monitoring

• Ensure legal monitoring: stay informed about legal news (tracking case law and doctrine) that could impact the firm's activity;
• Write internal memos: risk assessment / legal analysis of issues / operational recommendations;
• Participate in training sessions on legal points and ensure they are shared within the team.

You may also occasionally intervene in the following activities:

Litigation and pre-litigation management (excluding employee disputes)

• Drafting, reviewing, and validating formal notices or follow-up emails;

Qualifications

You are preparing for a "Master 1" or a "Master 2" in law, with a specialization in business law, or a post-"Master 2" degree (i.e., business school), as part of an apprenticeship or professionalization contract for a duration of 1 to 2 years starting from September 2026.

Knowledge of Common Law or American law would be a plus.

A first experience in a company or within a law firm (including internships) would be appreciated.

You have a very good command of English, both written and spoken; mastery of legal contractual English will be appreciated.

You are proficient in IT tools (Word, Excel, PPT, legal databases). You are familiar with Contract Management and Legal Ops topics, with a strong appetite for generative AI applied to legal practice.
