Your tasks

About the Role Waveman Integrated Solutions Limited is looking for a technically competent Network Engineer to manage, maintain and expand our wireless internet hotspot infrastructure.

We need someone who understands networking in practice, can troubleshoot problems independently, and is committed to providing reliable internet services to customers.

• Configure and manage MikroTik routers and RouterOS.
• Maintain Starlink internet connectivity and network integration.

• Configure and troubleshoot wireless access points.
• Monitor network performance, bandwidth usage and connected devices.

• Troubleshoot connectivity, latency and Wi-Fi coverage problems.
• Maintain captive portal and internet billing integrations.

• Investigate customer activation and authentication issues.
• Implement network security, access controls and bandwidth management.

• Document network configurations, incidents and maintenance activities.
• Train and supervise junior technical staff.

Requirements

📅 Experience: Practical networking experience required

• Practical experience with MikroTik RouterOS.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VLANs, routing and firewall configuration.

• Experience with wireless networking and access point deployment.
• Understanding of hotspot systems, captive portals and RADIUS is an advantage.

• Basic Linux administration and networking security knowledge.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work on-site in Port Harcourt.

Relevant certifications such as MTCNA or equivalent practical experience are welcome.

Only candidates with demonstrable practical networking skills will be shortlisted.
