Client Consultation & Briefing : Meet with clients to understand their project goals, functional needs, spatial preferences, and budgets. Space Planning & Layout Design : Develop floor plans, room flows, and structural reconfigurations Concept Development & Visualization : Create mood boards, sketches, 3D digital models, and photorealistic renderings using software like AutoCAD, Sketchup/ Enscape. Technical & Construction Documentation : Prepare detailed interior construction drawings, floor layouts, ceiling plans, and millwork/joinery details. Material & Finishes Sourcing : Select and specify interior finishes, flooring, wall treatments, lighting systems, plumbing fixtures, and custom furniture. Building Code & Regulatory Compliance : Ensure that all interior layouts, fire safety rules, and accessibility standards meet local building codes and statutory approval requirements. Budgeting & Cost Estimation : Estimate material and labor costs, draft project timelines, and prepare quotation schedules for clients. Project Management & Coordination : Coordinate with general contractors, structural engineers, lighting designers, and specialized trade vendors. Site Supervision & Quality Control : Perform regular site visits to monitor construction progress, resolve on-site design challenges, and ensure execution matches the design intent. Handover & Defect Inspection : Conduct final walkthroughs with the client to compile defect lists and sign off on project completion.
