Summary
The Assistant Manager is primarily responsible for the full operational management of Water Hazard, including staff scheduling, inventory control, bar and karaoke operations. The role also supports sales and revenue initiatives through the creation of promotions and packages for Water Hazard and assists the Banquet team with sales package development when required.
Roles and Responsibilities
Water Hazard Operations
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of Water Hazard, ensuring smooth service delivery and adherence to Club standards.
- Plan and manage staff schedules for Water Hazard, including two operational staff, ensuring adequate manpower coverage.
- Manage and control Water Hazard inventory, including liquor, bar supplies, and consumables.
- Oversee all bar operations, ensuring proper handling of beverages, stock usage, and service quality.
- Ensure proper functioning, maintenance, and coordination of karaoke systems and related equipment.
- Ensure compliance with Club policies, safety standards, and operational procedures.
Sales, Promotions & Revenue Support
- Conceptualise, plan, and execute promotions for Water Hazard to drive revenue and member engagement.
- Create and develop sales packages specific to Water Hazard, including event and festive packages.
- Assist the Banquet team in developing banquet and event sales packages when required, ensuring alignment with Club offerings.
- Work closely with the Banquet & Sports Manager on pricing, promotions, and revenue initiatives.
- Assist in the planning, coordination and execution of Club social events and activities, including events organised in collaboration with the Social Committee.
- Assist in identifying opportunities to increase banquet, event and F&B revenue through new packages, partnerships, promotions and corporate business.
Coordination& Support
- Coordinate with internal departments such as Finance,Marcom, and Operations to ensure smooth execution of promotions and events.
- Provide operational support during events, activations, and peak periods as required.
- Prepare basic reports related to operations, inventory, and sales initiatives for management review.
Others
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Management.
Job Requirements
- Diploma in Business Administration/Hotel Management/Sales & Marketing/Sports Management.
- Minimum 5 years’ in banqueting sales & events/sports & wellness experience or in similar field.
- Must be willing to work on weekends and public holidays.
- Experience in planning and execution of events/sports-related activities.
- Familiar with spreadsheet and software skills to illustrate routing reports, posters, flyers and/or other promotional media.
- Ability to update members on up-coming events.
- General knowledge of accounting procedures with basic knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control procedures.
- Ability to lead, train, motivate and supervise staff to meet the objectives of the department.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
