We are looking for Talent: Import Analyst
Job Objective
Follow up on the import process of goods from the origin to their arrival at the CEDIS, ensuring compliance with delivery dates, documentation, costs, customs requirements, and conditions agreed upon with suppliers, contributing to the continuity of supply and the efficiency of the operation.
Main Activities
- Follow up on international purchase orders from placement to delivery of goods.
- Coordinate with overseas suppliers regarding production, availability, and shipment dates of goods.
- Request, review, and validate import documentation: commercial invoice, packing list, BL/AWB, certificates, and other required documents.
- Coordinate with forwarders, shipping lines, customs agents, and carriers regarding the scheduling and execution of shipments.
- Follow up on ETD, ETA, international transit, and arrival in Mexico, timely identifying possible delays.
- Monitor shipment status and keep internal systems and controls updated.
- Review and follow up on import costs, freight, insurance, customs expenses, and other associated charges.
- Coordinate the release of goods with the customs agent and the involved areas.
- Identify and manage incidents regarding documentation, shipments, customs, suppliers, or transport, seeking timely solutions.
- Follow up on the delivery of goods to the CEDIS, ensuring correct coordination with Supply Chain and warehouse.
- Maintain constant communication with Compras, Comercial, Supply Chain, Finanzas, CEDIS, and suppliers.
- Prepare follow-up reports on orders, shipments, arrival dates, incidents, and costs.
- Identify supply risks and anticipate deviations in delivery dates.
- Participate in the improvement and standardization of import processes.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Comercio Internacional, Negocios Internacionales, Relaciones Internacionales, Logística, or related field.
Experience:
2-3 years in imports, foreign trade, international logistics, or overseas operations, ideally in companies with high volumes of goods.
Technical Knowledge:
- Importaciones and foreign trade
- Maritime and/or air operation
- Import documentation
- Incoterms
- Agentes aduanales and forwarders
- Shipment tracking
- Intermediate/advanced Excel
- ERP / foreign trade systems
- Intermediate-advanced English
What do we offer?
- Salary $17,000 gross monthly
- Prestaciones de Ley, Waldo´s Pass, Fondo de Ahorro
- Direct contract
- Schedule: Monday to Thursday from 09:00 to 19:00, Friday 09:00 to 15:00.
