Health & Safety Specialist

Job Purpose: Responsible for supporting on-site safety operations by carrying out inspections, monitoring work practices, and ensuring all personnel follow the company’s safety procedures and regulations. The role focuses on hands-on site supervision to prevent accidents, enforce PPE use, and report unsafe conditions to management. Main job duties and responsibilities Conduct daily site safety checks to ensure compliance with safety standards

Monitor workers’ use of PPE and immediately correct non-compliance

Identify unsafe practices or hazardous conditions

Assist in carrying out safety inductions for workers and subcontractors

Maintain records of daily safety inspections and incidents

Assist in investigating minor incidents and preparing basic incident reports

Ensure safety signs, barricades, and warning devices are in place where required

Help monitor safe use of tools, equipment, and machinery

Support emergency preparedness activities, such as drills and evacuation plans

Stop any activity that poses an immediate danger until it is made safe

Coordinate with the site first aid team when needed

Perform any additional tasks that might be necessary for easier workflow, within the main frame of the job’s specialty

Educational background and previous experience Bachelor’s degree in occupational health & safety, Engineering, or a related field.

1–3 years of relevant experience in Health & Safety.

Previous experience working on infrastructure projects is required.
