Ocean Freight Executive

Job Summary We are looking for an experienced and responsible Ocean Freight Executive to manage day-to-day import and export shipments and coordinate with customers, shipping lines, overseas agents, hauliers and internal teams. Key Responsibilities Handle daily ocean freight import and export operations , including FCL and LCL shipments.

Coordinate with shipping lines, overseas agents, customers, hauliers and internal departments for shipment arrangements.

Arrange and monitor shipment bookings, container release, loading, sailing, delivery and empty container returns.

Prepare and verify shipping documents, including Bill of Lading, Commercial Invoice, Packing List and Shipping Instructions .

Monitor vessel schedules, ETD/ETA, transhipment arrangements and shipment status , and provide timely updates to customers.

Coordinate customs clearance, trucking and container delivery with the relevant parties.

Check freight and local charges, assist with freight costing and prepare quotations when required.

Maintain accurate shipment records and update the company's operating system.

Follow up on delays, documentation issues and operational matters to ensure timely resolution.

Ensure all shipments are handled in accordance with company procedures and relevant customs and shipping regulations.

Perform other operational duties as assigned by Management.

Requirements Diploma or equivalent qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain, Freight Forwarding or a related field .

Minimum 2 years of experience in ocean freight / freight forwarding operations .

Good knowledge of FCL/LCL import and export procedures .

Familiar with shipping documentation, customs clearance and container operations.

Experience dealing with shipping lines, overseas agents, hauliers and customers.

Good coordination, communication and follow-up skills.

Able to work independently and manage multiple shipments and deadlines.

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Experience with freight forwarding or logistics operating systems will be an advantage.

Working Hours Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM Saturday: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM Location West, Singapore Other Information The successful candidate should be proactive, organised and able to handle a fast-paced operational environment while maintaining accuracy in shipment documentation and coordination.
