Manager, Signaling Engineering

This position is for on-site work in Contagem, MG. Who will you work with? You will be part of the Signaling & Systems – Digital Intelligence area, leading Testing, Commissioning, and Assisted Operation activities in railway signaling projects. You will work in close collaboration with Project Management, Engineering, Construction, RAMS, Supply Chain, and client teams, ensuring the safe and efficient execution of field activities and the delivery of contractual milestones. You will be responsible for leading a multidisciplinary team of field professionals, promoting a culture of safety, quality, operational excellence, and continuous people development. How will you make a difference? As Manager, Signaling Engineering, you will be responsible for leading the Testing, Commissioning, and Assisted Operation activities of railway signaling systems, ensuring that deliveries meet technical, operational, contractual, regulatory, and safety requirements. Your role will combine people leadership, operational management, and technical coordination, ensuring proper resource planning, efficient execution of field activities, and the resolution of technical and operational challenges alongside clients and internal teams. You will be a fundamental piece in ensuring that systems are put into service safely, reliably, and within established schedules, contributing directly to project success and client satisfaction. What do we want to know about you? Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field. Experience in railway signaling systems. Experience in technical leadership or team management. Advanced English (written and spoken). Experience in testing, integration, commissioning, and entry into service of railway signaling systems, including interlockings, level crossings, WIUs, and interfaces with train control systems. Solid knowledge of railway signaling systems, wayside equipment, and control and supervision architectures. Knowledge of applicable railway standards, including CENELEC, AREMA, or equivalent frameworks, covering integration, verification, validation, and generation of evidence for system acceptance. Knowledge of Safety Assurance, operational safety, and railway regulatory requirements. Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams in a matrix environment. Strong communication and client relationship skills. Experience in resource planning, priority management, and schedule monitoring. Ability to analyze and resolve complex problems in an operational environment. Availability for frequent travel. Profile focused on people development, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Strong orientation toward results, safety, and quality. Differentials: Experience in freight railway transport projects. Experience with ElectroLogIXS, ElectroCode, XP4 technologies. Knowledge in RAMS and Safety Assurance. Experience in entry into service (cutovers), assisted operation, and support during the initial operation phase. Experience with integration of WIUs, PTC, ATP, ATO, ETCS, ERTMS systems, or other train control and protection solutions. What will your day-to-day be like? Lead the Testing, Commissioning, and Assisted Operation teams for the projects under your responsibility. Plan, allocate, and develop the resources necessary for the execution of field activities. Ensure the safe execution of activities in accordance with internal procedures, client requirements, and applicable standards. Act as the functional lead for Integration, Testing, Verification, Validation, Commissioning, and Entry into Service processes. Lead integration, testing, and entry into service activities of signaling systems, including field interfaces, WIUs, and integrations with train control systems. Ensure the preparation, review, and approval of plans, procedures, records, and testing and commissioning reports. Act as the main interface between technical teams, project management, and clients for matters related to field activities. Lead the analysis and resolution of failures, non-conformities, and integration problems identified during testing, commissioning, and assisted operation. Monitor performance, productivity, quality, and safety indicators of field operations. Ensure that artifacts generated during integration, testing, and commissioning adequately support technical acceptance, operational validation, and Safety Assurance processes. Develop and train team members, promoting a culture of safety, quality, responsibility, and continuous improvement.
