Who will you be working with? Wabtec’s Digital Intelligence Signaling & Systems team is a recognized industry leader in the successful delivery of complex integrated system projects. These projects involve signaling, train control, communications, and back-office solutions with a strong focus on project execution, schedule adherence, and customer satisfaction
Where is the position located? This position is based in Perth, WA with the requirement to work on a FIFO basis (Pilbara, WA) and locally if required.
How will you make a difference? Reporting to the Construction Manager, the Electrician is responsible for carrying out electrical installation, testing, commissioning and maintenance activities in accordance with project designs, specifications and safety requirements. Working as part of the electrical team, the Electrician collaborates closely with engineers, supervisors and other project personnel to ensure works are completed safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards
What will your typical day look like? Promote and comply with health, safety and environmental policies, procedures and standards at all times.
Perform electrical installation works in accordance with approved designs, specifications, project requirements and relevant standards.
Install, terminate, test and commission electrical cabling, equipment and infrastructure associated with railway signalling systems.
Assist with the installation, maintenance, inspection and fault-finding of railway signalling equipment, including signals, train stops, point machines, track circuits, level crossings and other wayside equipment.
Carry out manual and physical tasks associated with construction, installation and maintenance activities.
Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, specifications and technical documentation.
Ensure all works are completed in compliance with engineering design specifications, client standards and statutory regulations.
Maintain tools, equipment and work areas in a safe, clean and serviceable condition.
Complete required quality, testing and commissioning documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
Work collaboratively with supervisors, engineers and other project personnel to support the successful delivery of projects.
Identify and report hazards, near misses, incidents and non-conformances in accordance with company procedures.
Participate in pre-start meetings, toolbox talks, safety briefings and training activities.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and support a positive team culture.
Assist in achieving project objectives relating to safety, quality, productivity and schedule.

A Grade Electrical Licence - WA
Drivers Licence
Practical & organization skills.
Construction White / Blue Card
Rail Industry workers card
Certificate IV in Rail Signalling advantageous
