Role Purpose The Capability Development Lead will drive the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of internal learning, capability development, and competence management initiatives across the organization. Working with and reporting to Global Head of Academy, role is responsible for building structured learning journeys, strengthening technical and functional competencies, supporting leadership development initiatives, and fostering a culture of continuous learning that enables business growth and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities Design and manage organization-wide capability development initiatives aligned with business priorities.

Develop structured learning pathways, competency frameworks, and certification programs for technical, functional, and professional roles.

Work with Global Head of Academy to partner with business leaders, subject matter experts, HR, and regional teams to identify capability gaps and learning needs.

Lead the design and deployment of instructor-led, virtual, blended, and digital learning programs.

Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of internal training programs, including planning, execution, evaluation, and continuous improvement.

Drive knowledge capture and knowledge management initiatives to preserve critical organizational expertise.

Support onboarding and role-based development programs for new employees.

Develop assessment methodologies to measure competence, learning effectiveness, and capability maturity.

Monitor learning analytics, competency metrics, and training KPIs to provide actionable insights.

Manage technical learning content development and ensure content remains current and aligned with evolving business requirements.

Promote a culture of continuous learning through innovative learning interventions and digital learning solutions.

Collaborate with the Global Academy team to continuously enhance learning processes and governance.

Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Technology, or a related discipline.

Certification in Learning & Development, Instructional Design, or Capability/ Talent Development is desirable.

Experience 7–8 years of experience in Learning & Development, Capability Development, Competency Management, Technical Training, or Organizational Development.

Experience in engineering, manufacturing, industrial technology, rail, automation, or a similar technical industry is preferred.

Experience of working with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and digital learning platforms.

Exposure to competency frameworks and certification programs is highly desirable.
