We are recruiting a Site Commodity Buyer (M/F). Location: Amiens
Who will be your contacts in this position? Internally: project/service and group commodity purchasing teams, engineering, supplier quality, operations, accounting/finance, and other group companies, Externally: suppliers.
How will you make a difference in this position? You will manage the purchasing part of the commodity entrusted to you at your site (machining, foundry, Electrical, ...) in compliance with group processes and in collaboration with commodity managers by region (EMEA, India, China). You will be responsible for QCD performance on site for your commodity, and will interact with other functions to ensure and maintain the best performance of your panel.
What would we like to find in you? 3 to 5 years of experience in the purchasing function and more specifically in industrial commodity management (Foundry, machining, welding, electrical, systems)
Experience in a standardized industrial environment: railway, aeronautics, defense, medical equipment, maritime, automotive, …,
Ability to execute activities that allow for improving the competitiveness of your commodity,
Negotiation and persuasion skills,
Financial management skills (budgets, reportings, Risk & Opportunities),
Professional English level (B1/B2 level),
What will your days look like?
Optimize the Purchasing budget of your commodity: identify and implement actions generating savings, in collaboration with the group's commodity managers and their strategy.
Master the Purchasing processes to successfully carry out these activities and demonstrate a good capacity for execution and autonomy.
Review project bill of materials with project buyers, to identify new sources of savings, while respecting purchasing strategies. During the series phase of projects/business, work on the proper respect of supplier panel usage at our site, and contribute to the overall QCD performance of your commodity.
Participate in the preparation of purchasing budgets, in the improvement of the group's purchasing performance, and support execution performance,
Deploy purchasing reportings and indicators.
