About the company

Most people with hypertension or Type 2 diabetes in Nigeria are diagnosed, handed a prescription, and then go months without anyone checking in. Vytagrid fixes the part that happens between clinic visits.

We are building a unified operating system connecting the patient's entire care journey. This allows us to give patients continuous support and give their doctors and care teams visibility, with structured monitoring and alerts that flag trouble before it becomes a medical emergency with lasting complications. We're starting with hospitals and pharmacies in Lagos.

Our founder is a practising physician, and the platform is in early development. What we need now is the person who gets it into the world.

Your tasks

This is the founder's right hand and one of the first people on the founding team. You'll take Vytagrid from a promising product to a functioning company.

That means walking into hospitals and pharmacies, reaching the decision-maker, negotiating the deal, getting it signed, and launching the site. Then you build the processes that let us do it again without you in the room.

You'll wear several hats at the start. Some weeks you're closing a hospital; other weeks you're fixing a vendor problem or building the budget. The role narrows as we grow and hire under you. The people who do well here want that range, not a tidy job description.

What you'll own

  • Partnerships and deals. Work the pipeline of Lagos hospitals and pharmacies, pitch medical directors, CMDs, and pharmacy owners, negotiate terms within agreed commercial guardrails, and close signed pilot and partnership agreements.
  • Site launch and operations. Turn a signed agreement into a live site: staff walkthroughs, workflow set-up, patient onboarding, and the problems nobody planned for. Write the playbook as you go so the next site takes half the time.
  • Partner relationships. Be the person every partner calls. Run check-ins, catch friction before it becomes churn, and bring what you hear back to product and clinical.
  • Company operations. Own the operating backbone: budgets and spend tracking, vendor and contractor management, contracts and paperwork (working with our lawyers), and compliance housekeeping.
  • Metrics and reporting. Set the operating KPIs, run a weekly dashboard, and tell the founder what's working and what isn't, without being asked.
  • Future payers. Start relationships with HMOs, employers, and telehealth operators so they're warm when we're ready for them. There are no HMO deal targets in your first 90 days.

Whom you'll work with You own every partner from the first meeting to a live site. Here's how a partner moves through the team:

  1. Marketing & Growth Associate builds the target list, runs outreach, and hands you a qualified conversation.
  2. You take the first meeting, work out who actually decides, and negotiate the terms.
  3. The founder joins the closing meeting, where a physician's credibility moves a Medical Director.
  4. You get the signed site live and keep it healthy.
  5. Live sites become the case stories marketing uses to open the next round of conversations.

You'll also work with our growth strategy consultant, who sets marketing positioning, and with the engineering team building the platform. Clinical protocol stays with the founder.

Requirements

You probably have

  • 3 to 6 years of experience, with at least 2 in field sales or partnerships with Nigerian hospitals, pharmacies, HMOs, or health businesses. That might be pharma or medical sales, diagnostics or medtech sales, FMCG sales into pharmacy chains, HMO relationship management, or healthtech operations.
  • A record of closing. You can name the deals, the counterparties, and what nearly killed each one.
  • Contacts you can call this week: doctors, pharmacy owners, superintendent pharmacists, hospital administrators.
  • The ability to negotiate hard while staying someone people want to keep working with.
  • Operating discipline: you can build a budget, run a pipeline in a CRM, and write a process someone else can follow.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and with Lagos traffic. You'll spend real time on the road.

Nice to have

  • A clinical pharmacy or public health background
  • Experience launching a product across multiple sites or branches
  • Exposure to NHIA, HMO contracting, or health data rules (NDPA)

What we offer

Compensation: ₦300,000 (negotiable) gross per month, field expenses reimbursed up to ₦80,000 a month, a bonus for every partner site that goes live with active patients, and equity to be agreed on after probation.
