Controls Hardware Engineer

An electrical design on paper is one thing. Ensuring everything actually works on site? That is where you come in.

For an international player within robotics and intralogistics, we are looking for a Controls Hardware Engineer who translates technical concepts into concrete, working installations.

From electrical schematics and component selection to I/O tests, commissioning, and the final delivery to the customer: you are involved in the entire process and ensure that the technical solution also works in practice.

Technical projects, international customers, and robotics that you don't just design, but also see effectively set in motion.

Job Description

• You work out technical projects from A to Z, from further detailing the concept after the kick-off to the final realization at the customer's site.
• You translate technical solutions into functional descriptions, electrical schematics, layouts, and bills of materials and coordinate closely on these with the drafter, purchasing, and other internal stakeholders.
• You are strongly involved in the practical execution and commissioning: you monitor the electrical installation, perform I/O tests, supervise software tests, and assist with technical problems on site.
• You take ownership of the technical and financial follow-up of the project and work together with customers, suppliers, commissioning engineers, and site managers to achieve a successful delivery.
• You possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree with a strong electrical background and already have initial experience within electrical engineering or electrical infrastructure.
• You have experience with electrical schematics, electrical cabinets, and cable calculations; knowledge of tools such as EPLAN and Caneco is a plus.
• You are proactive, strong in communication, and hands-on, like to take initiative, and work smoothly with various stakeholders.
• You feel comfortable in an international environment, speak fluent English, and are willing to travel internationally approximately 30% of your time.
