Electrical Designer

We are looking for: An Electrical Designer (Physical) to support transmission and generation upgrade projects across various generation facilities. This role is responsible for preparing design packages, developing detailed drawings, coordinating with engineers and site teams, and ensuring designs meet technical specifications, codes, standards, and configuration management requirements. Key Responsibilities: Prepare complex design packages for construction using technical specifications, design criteria, and industry standards Develop and review drawings, schematics, cable and conduit schedules, equipment layouts, foundation details, structural details, P&IDs, and bill of materials Provide design alternatives based on budget and schedule constraints Identify and resolve potential design issues early in the process Review final drawings for accuracy, completeness, and compliance Coordinate with engineers, senior designers, and site teams on multi-discipline design tasks Ensure record drawings are maintained according to configuration management procedures Required Skills: Strong experience in electrical physical design Good understanding of engineering principles, construction techniques, and drafting practices Strong AutoCAD and Raster Design skills Experience with drawing management systems such as AutoCAD Vault Ability to work on multiple projects and changing priorities Strong problem-solving and technical communication skills Knowledge of applicable codes, standards, and design practices Pay: $45.00 - $50.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week Experience: Electrical design: 2 years (Preferred) AutoCAD: 2 years (Preferred) Ability to Commute: White Plains, NY 10601 (Preferred) Work Location: In person
