Software and Applications Manager

Job Description:

• Lead and supervise the software development team in designing, developing, and maintaining mobile applications.
• Oversee project lifecycle management, including planning, execution, testing, deployment, and post-launch support.
• Manage project resources, timelines and deliverables to ensure successful project completion.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, security protocols, and best practices in software engineering.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, design, operations) to align technical solutions with business objectives.
• Provide mentorship, training, and performance evaluation for junior engineers.
• Review system architecture and technical solutions to ensure scalability, reliability and performance.
• Drive innovation by researching emerging technologies and integrating them into product development.

Requirements:

• Diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (Polytechnic Diploma or equivalent).
• At least 8 years of relevant industry experience in software/application development, with proven track record in technical leadership or supervisory roles.
• Strong proficiency in mobile application development frameworks (e.g., iOS, Android, React Native, Flutter).
• Solid understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and DevOps practices.
• Demonstrated ability to manage teams and deliver projects on time.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
• Experience in delivering software solutions for commercial applications and business operations.
