Tactical Buyer

What will you do?

As a Tactical Buyer, you ensure that our projects can proceed without delay. You assess the needs from Werkvoorbereiding, Engineering, and Productie and translate these into smart procurement solutions. You negotiate independently with suppliers, monitor our TCO approach, and ensure that price, delivery time, and quality are continuously in balance.

You work closely with the procurement team and the Manager Inkoop & Supply Chain. You keep a sharp eye on market developments and are alert to risks in availability, price, or delivery reliability. By switching gears timely and providing clear advice, you contribute directly to a reliable supply chain for our machines and projects.

You build and maintain relationships with suppliers, manage for continuity, and actively investigate where processes can be smarter or better. In doing so, you work with SAP and assist in optimizing and automating our procurement processes. In this way, you contribute to an increasingly professional way of working within the department.

Your activities include, among others:

• monitoring and improving our TCO approach;
• independently leading complex negotiation processes;
• aligning procurement needs with internal stakeholders and translating these to the market;
• identifying market developments and price movements and converting these into clear advice;
• developing and implementing procurement strategies focused on risks and long-term partnerships;
• performing benchmarks and market analyses to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvement.

We ask

• You have a completed hbo/wo education, preferably Technische Bedrijfskunde, Logistics Management, or similar;
• At least several years of relevant work experience as a buyer;
• You possess Nevi 1 and 2, or you are willing to follow these training course(s);
• You speak and write English well;
• You are proactive, work in a structured manner, and know how to switch effectively with different departments and suppliers.
