Solution Architect Commerce

What will you do?

Voortman's commercial processes are becoming increasingly digital and international. To support our growth and ambitions, we are continuously investing in the further development of our commercial application landscape. This includes Salesforce, Marketing Automation, CPQ, our website, webshop, customer portals, and integrations with ERP and data platforms. As a Solution Architect Commerce, you are responsible for the architecture, cohesion, and further development of this landscape for our commerce department.

In this role, you look beyond today's request. You develop a long-term vision, translate strategic objectives into concrete solutions, and make well-founded choices regarding design, integrations, and future developments. In doing so, you work closely with the Enterprise Architect and the Revenue Operations Manager. Together, you form an important triangle where strategy, processes, and technology converge. You determine not only how solutions are realized, but primarily why certain choices are made. You contribute to the technical design and are partly involved in it yourself. For in-depth technical issues, you work closely with the Application Engineers, who ensure that systems are configured according to the stated wishes and requirements. This position is interesting for experienced Solution Architects, but also for Application Engineers, Application Specialists, or Business IT professionals who want to further develop towards architecture, governance, and strategic decision-making. Your responsibilities:

• Developing and maintaining the architecture roadmap for the entire Commerce domain;
• Translating business needs into solution designs, data models, and architecture documentation;
• Preparing impact analyses and substantiating technical and functional choices;
• Making buy, build, configure, or integrate decisions for new solutions and functionalities;
• Final responsibility for the architecture for the integrations between Salesforce, ERP, marketing platforms, website, webshop, CPQ solutions, customer portals, and data platforms;
• Ensuring security, privacy, scalability, performance, and reliability of solutions;
• Developing and monitoring architecture standards, governance, and best practices;
• Managing, challenging, and assessing external implementation and support partners;
• Guiding projects from design to realization and ensuring successful adoption;
• Ensuring knowledge transfer and documentation for users and management teams;
• Monitoring standardization and global scalability of commercial solutions.

What we ask

• A completed HBO or WO degree in Business IT & Management, Computer Science, Engineering Management, Business Administration, or similar;
• Experience within CRM, commerce, digital customer processes, application management, or solution architecture;
• You have at least several years of experience within IT, digitalization, or application landscapes, for example as an Application Engineer, Application Specialist, Business IT Consultant, or Solution Architect;
• Knowledge of or affinity with Salesforce, CPQ, marketing platforms, e-commerce, websites, or system integrations;
• Experience with analyzing and modeling business processes and information flows;
• Good communication skills and the ability to involve stakeholders at different levels in choices and decision-making;
• Good command of the English language due to the international character of our organization.
