Operational Buyer
What will you do?
As an Operational Buyer, you have a central role within the procurement process. You ensure that materials are ordered and delivered correctly and on time, so that the organization can continue to operate. In doing so, you have daily contact with suppliers and internal customers and monitor the progress of orders from request to delivery.
You work closely with the Tactical Buyer and support supplier management. You conduct discussions regarding cooperation, quality, and performance and identify bottlenecks or opportunities for improvement. Because the organization is continuously developing, you actively contribute ideas for process improvements and potential new suppliers.
Together with your colleagues, you contribute to an efficient and future-proof procurement process within a team where collaboration and knowledge sharing are central. You will be given space to develop yourself and further expand your role within the procurement profession.
As an Operational Buyer, you are responsible for:
- The daily ordering of materials and components;
- Monitoring order confirmations and delivery dates;
- The administratively correct processing of purchase orders;
- Maintaining contact with (international) suppliers;
- Identifying and proposing improvements within procurement and logistical processes.
