Material Planner

What will you do?

As a Material Planner, you are responsible for planning and monitoring material availability for production and internal customers. You work at the intersection of supply chain, production, and purchasing, ensuring that materials are available at the right time. To achieve this, you analyze MRP data, identify deviations, and actively take corrective action where necessary.

You play an important role in translating customer demand and forecasts into a feasible material plan. In doing so, you continuously monitor the balance between availability, inventory levels, and delivery reliability. You work closely with, among others, purchasing, production planning, and supply chain engineering, and you take the initiative to further improve processes based on data and practical experience.

The highlights of this role:

• You check MRP runs and analyze exception lists to gain insight into material requirements and risks;
• You collect and analyze data for supply chain KPIs;
• You ensure that master data, such as lead times and bills of materials, are correct and up to date;
• You translate customer demand into a feasible material plan and advise on deviations;
• You monitor material availability for production, intercompany locations, and internal stakeholders;
• You coordinate with purchasing regarding deliveries and with production planning regarding capacity and sequencing;
• You initiate improvements in material flows, inventory management, and MRP processes.

What we ask

• HBO working and thinking level, preferably in the direction of Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Technical Business Administration;
• Experience or a strong affinity with material planning, supply chain, and production environments;
• Knowledge of MRP/ERP systems (preferably SAP) and data-driven working;
• Good command of the English language;
• You are a strong communicator and switch easily between different departments;
• You work in a structured manner, can set priorities, and maintain an overview under pressure.
